"Community is the real currency of a business."
- Chamille Weddington, Schweet Cheesecake
We're the Schweet company. Real people, not just a brand. We're natives of Chicago's Westside and we believe that community is important. In fact, community is the real currency of a business, which is why we keep things local and authentic for the people who buy from us. Our desserts are proudly inspired by our granny's homemade recipe. So, we want to eat homemade food and share it with the people we care about. It's personal. Fresh fruit, freshly made whipped cream, a wholesome crust and our signature batter is what's inside. We don't sell super-fancy pastries that sit on the shelf for a long time. We're known for the freshest artisan cheesecakes that are simple and tasty. Period.
Your purchase helps us to provide entrepreneurship workshops and speaking topics to underserved communities at no charge or for a low fee. So not only are you buying a great cheesecake, but your purchase also helps us to do good. Now isn't that Schweet? Learn about it here.

Where We've Been
We've been to quite a few places. We started in local markets in 2016 and became a favorite of discerning palates who appreciate a simple and decadent cheesecake. See where we've been and where we're going.

Workshops for Non-Profits
Being connected to community is what counts. In fact, this is where and how we do our most important work! As "foodpreneurs", we use storytelling to motivate aspiring entrepreneurs to launch and sustain their own businesses. Schweet co-owner, Chamille Weddington, speaks to non-profit organizations to share the challenges and rewards of operating a business under some of the most unanticipated circumstances, and offers ways to navigate obstacles while keeping your resilience and enthusiasm in tact. In the workshop, "Navigating The Urban Food Desert: Conversations on Food Resources, Quality & Brand Survival", she engages in frank discussion about the macroeconomic impacts that drive food deserts and what you should contemplate prior and during the launch of your business in this type of environment.
